Gym Geek Workout and Fitness Log 2.1 Now Available on Apple App Store

The 2.1 update for Gym Geek was released on Oct 25, 2012 on the Apple App Store.

This version offers a significant new feature for monitoring your rest periods. Between each set you can now enter a configurable number of seconds to wait. After you complete a set, Gym Geek will ask you to wait for the number of seconds you have configured. When the time period expires, Gym Geek will then tell you that it’s time for your next set or exercise and will also tell you the goal and how you did last time.

The rest period feature can be disabled by entering a “0” for the rest period. Also, if you are using the rest periods, you can define how you want to be alerted under the “Timer” tab. You can set the alert to use speech or to use a sound to indicate the rest period has elapsed.

What’s that BEEP! When you are resting and the timer is counting down, 10 seconds before the timer ends you’ll hear a beep. This is so that you can prepare for the next set/exercise. 10 seconds after the beep, the speech will start and tell you what to lift.
